Das Herbstkonzert / The Autumn Concert „Gang der Persephone“
Das Winterkonzert / The Winter Concert „A room one´s own ll”
Das Frühlingskonzert / The Spring Concert „Frühlingsfest“
Drei Jahreszeiten-Konzerte (Three Seasons Concerts)
The Ensemble Rot invites its audience to three concerts in different seasons. In autumn, winter and spring, the percussionists interpret the passage of time. On each of the three evenings, the audience experience the changing of seasons through the piece “Branches” from John Cage, in which the ensemble plays instruments made of materials from nature.
The Autumn Concert “Gang der Persephone” (Passage of Persephone)
Christian, medieval dance of death meets funeral rites and shamanism from Japan and Korea. With the image of transience, Ensemble Rot reflects and interprets the seasons in the mirror of ancient myths of autumn.
The Winter Concert “A room of one’s own II”
In the winter, when it is cold outside and warm in your room, the ensemble ties in with the concert from Winter 2018, “The room of one’s own I”, and creates a metaphorical space for Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Inspired by forms from the works of the Dada artist, the ensemble fills the room with cold sound. To stay warm, movement pieces are performed.
The Spring Concert “Frühlingsfest” (Spring Festival)
As soon as nature blossoms in spring, joie de vivre sets in. Wind blows around our ears and makes leaves, buds and trees dance. The ensemble carries the audience on a lively, fresh spring wind that blows from Asia across the world. Festive works will be premiered in the spring concert.
